Good to know before you travel
On the bus
- Carry a light jacket: the AC can be cold at night and Manali mornings are cool
- Keep valuables and medicines in your hand bag, not in the luggage hold
- Most buses stop for dinner around Karnal or Murthal and for tea near Mandi
- Take motion-sickness tablets if you feel sick on mountain roads
Arriving in Manali
- Buses from Delhi usually reach Manali between 7 and 10 AM
- Private buses stop at the private bus parking; HRTC buses at the Govt. bus stand

- For Leh, Spiti or Solang the same day, book your taxi in advance
