What is the nearest airport to Manali?
Kullu – Manali Airport at Bhuntar (KUU), about 50 km from Manali. It has few flights and they are often cancelled in bad weather, so many travellers fly to Chandigarh (IXC) and drive about 8–9 hours to Manali.
How far is Leh airport from Leh town?

Should I rest after flying into Leh?
Yes. Leh is at about 3,500 m, so rest for the whole first day, drink plenty of water and avoid alcohol. Plan high passes such as Khardung La and Chang La from the second or third day.
