Nearest railway stations for the hills
There is no broad-gauge railway to Manali, Leh or most hill towns, so most travellers take a train to the nearest station and continue by taxi or bus. We can meet you at the station with a taxi.

No. There is no railway in Ladakh. You can fly to Leh or come by road from Manali or Srinagar.

Take a train from Delhi to Kalka, then the narrow-gauge Kalka – Shimla toy train, which takes about 5–6 hours, or a taxi, which takes about 3 hours.
Is there a train to Srinagar now?
Yes. Srinagar is connected by rail via Katra on the Udhampur – Srinagar – Baramulla line. Check the current timetable on the IRCTC website.
