Celebrate the famous Kullu Dussehra in the Valley of the Gods. The week-long festival begins on Vijayadashami – next on 9 October 2027 – when the chariot of Lord Raghunath is pulled to the Dhalpur ground and over 200 village deities gather in Kullu. The 3N/4D package covers Manali sightseeing, the opening Rath Yatra with Naggar Castle, and Rohtang Pass. The 6N/7D package adds Solang Valley, Manikaran and more time at the fair in Dhalpur. The 11N/12D package stays for the whole festival – from the opening ceremony to the closing Lanka Dahan day.
On Vijayadashami afternoon the chariot of Lord Raghunath is pulled by hundreds of devotees from Sultanpur to the Dhalpur ground, while village deities in decorated palanquins join the procession with drums and trumpets. It is the most crowded and colourful day of the festival.
Yes. Kullu Dussehra falls in October, when Rohtang Pass is normally open (closed on Tuesdays, permit needed). If the road is closed by snow or by the authorities, we go to Solang Valley, Atal Tunnel and Sissu instead.
