Visit the main sights of Manali town:
Four-tier pagoda wooden temple built in 1553, dedicated to Hidimba, wife of Bhima. Set in a tall deodar forest, with the Ghatotkach shrine nearby. Yak rides and photos in local Himachali dress.
Fun spot on the Manalsu stream with indoor games, river crossing and small amusement rides. Good for families, with a small market for woollens.
Colourful Gadhan Thekchhokling monastery built by Tibetan settlers, with a large Buddha statue, murals and prayer wheels. Tibetan market for handicrafts nearby.
Peaceful park of giant deodar trees on the bank of the Beas, opposite Mall Road. Small lake with boating in season.

DAY 5Rohtang Pass with Solang Valley & Atal Tunnel

Early breakfast and start around 6–7 AM to reach Rohtang before the crowd. The road climbs from the Kullu valley to the snow line, crosses into Lahaul and comes back through the Atal Tunnel:

Small village above a deep gorge of the Beas river, with wide views of the valley and snow peaks.
Meadows and snow point in early summer, inside a protected forest. Many films have been shot here.

Last halt before Rohtang with dhabas for tea, Maggi and parathas. Snow dresses can be hired on the way.

Where is the pickup and drop in Chandigarh?
Pickup and drop can be at your hotel, Chandigarh railway station, ISBT bus stand or Chandigarh airport.
Is Rohtang Pass open every day?
No. Rohtang Pass is closed for tourists every Tuesday and in winter from 1 December to 20 April due to snow. A permit is required. If Rohtang is closed on your date, Day 5 is Solang Valley, Atal Tunnel and Sissu / Khoksar.
Which vehicle is best for my group?
Alto and Sedan seat up to 4 persons, Ertiga, Toyota Innova and Toyota Innova Crysta up to 6, and Tempo Traveller 12, 14, 17 or 26 seater for bigger groups. Children are counted as persons.
Is this package good for honeymoon and family trips?
